Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Aït-Nouri has failed to get regular playing time this year but that hasn’t put off clubs in France and across Europe.

That’s according to Le10 Sport, who state OGC Nice and Marseille have included the left-back in their target list for the summer window.

Nice had looked at the 22-year-old in the winter market but weren’t able to take him away from Wolves. They are making another attempt to sign him in this window.

It’s explained that the negotiations with the Ligue 1 side are ‘intensifying and are even very advanced’. Le10 don’t make it clear if those talks are with the 22-year-old, Wolves or both.

The report states Nice are looking to sign the Algeria international on a loan deal with an option to buy.

The operation isn’t close to being completed but the outlet says all parties are optimistic the transfer could be ‘finalised in the coming days’. Therefore, Le10 say the Wolves player is ‘getting closer’ to Nice.

A loan move to Nice could allow Aït-Nouri to feature regularly next season, which he couldn’t do at Wolves this year.
