Expected to return to Manchester United after spending last season on loan at Valencia, Andreas Pereira’s Old Trafford future remains something of a mystery.
The general consensus appears to be that another move away could be on the cards, but whether that is a loan or a permanent transfer is still up in the air.
The Red Devil himself stated a few months ago he didn’t particularly want to be sent away on another temporary deal and wanted ‘clarity’ about where his career could go next, so perhaps the latter of the two might suit all parties more.
With this in mind, Corriere dello Sport’s latest report on Lazio’s potential transfer window is interesting, as the Italian newspaper state the Brazil U21 international is a target for the Serie A side.
The Italian newspaper explain Pereira is being followed by the side’s director of football, Igli Tare, as they look at strengthening their left-hand side in the summer.
His Belgian passport would also help them avoid filing up a non-EU spot in their squad.
There’s no mention of fees or moves being made for now, however, just an interest.
We’ll be keeping an eye on this.
