Unless you’ve been living under a rock, which is quite difficult in North London, you’ll be fully aware that Mauricio Pochettino is a wanted man around Europe, with teams like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain allegedly after his services if they get rid of their current managers.

The Argentinian’s style of football and success with “limited” resources, at least compared to the teams around him, has certainly been a breath of fresh air, and many are curious to see what he could do with a bigger budget at his disposal.

Daniel Levy will certainly have something to say about this, but if the time comes when the Tottenham manager decides to look elsewhere, a replacement will be needed, and Spurs are allegedly eyeing someone up in Italy.

That man, according to Il Mattino, is Napoli’s Maurizio Sarri, whose attacking style of football has drawn comparisons to Pep Guardiola this past year.

The Italian newspaper report Tottenham have added the manager to their ‘casting list’ for a job on their bench, alongside Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

Aurelio de Laurentiis would preferably like to see his manager stay around longer at Stadio San Paolo, and that’s why he’s trying to get the 59-year-old to sign a new contract.

That hasn’t happened yet, hence the “fear”, if you want to call it that, he could leave for the Premier League.

Tottenham is certainly an attractive destination these days, but first, Pochettino needs to leave, and that isn’t a guarantee in itself.
