If you were starting to worry about the lack of news regarding Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, rest assured, there’s plenty more to go around.

With the international break now upon us, there’s less football to talk about, meaning column inches need to be filled somehow, leading to transfer talk.

Il Messaggero are the ones with a bit of information on the Serbian’s future, casually throwing Manchester City and Manchester United into the mix, as always.

Bottom line is, he’s still going to be very expensive, and Lazio are still trying to drive the price up, with Real Madrid now in the mix too, alongside José Mourinho’s and Pep Guardiola’s clubs and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the Italian newspaper, Milinkovic-Savic wants to ‘make the leap in quality’ in the summer, meaning he wants to leave Lazio for a bigger club, and he might get some help from one of the biggest agents around.

Il Messaggero state a move to Real Madrid could be engineered by Jorge Mendes, leading to the Serbia international leaving Mateja Kezman to be represented by Gestifute.

However, a transfer would cost ‘no less than €140m’, but the Serie A side’s president, Claudio Lotito, would like to ‘launch a bidding war’ between all the interested sides.

This means we could end up reaching near transfer record prices, but will Manchester City, who have never paid more than £70m, ever go that high?

Manchester United probably would, and so will Real Madrid.

As for Paris Saint-Germain, it all depends who they can sell, as they still have to pay Monaco £166m for Kylian Mbappé.
