Davy Klaassen has been a regular in the Italian rumour mill over the past few days, with there being an assumption he’s available from Everton.

There’s been claims a swap was offered to Inter Milan which would have seen Marcelo Brozovic going to Goodison Park, but swap deals are always hard to believe even after the Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan saga turned out successful.

It’s also been claimed Klaassen was offered to Inter Milan in a straight deal, and Alfredo Pedulla now says the Dutchman has also been offered to Napoli.

The Italian journalist doesn’t say who it is doing the offering, but if it’s happening then it’s likely to be the player’s agent.

Napoli were interested in Klaassen before he moved to Everton in the summer transfer window, but clearly weren’t willing to battle with the Toffees on price.

The potential transfer is said to be currently under consideration in Naples, and they’d probably prefer a loan, which Sam Allardyce has made clear isn’t what Everton would be looking for.
