Gunes report Besiktas are working hard to sign West Ham United’s Javier Hernandez, as the Turkish champions look to bring in a replacement for Cenk Tosun.
Gunes claim Besiktas officials have been in constant contact with West Ham regarding the situation with Hernandez, and they could move in on the Mexican in this transfer window.
Hernandez is reportedly keen to leave West Ham in this window, despite only joining the Premier League side from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
The Mexico international has been unable make an impact since arriving at West Ham, and now apparently wants to find a new club.
West Ham manager David Moyes wants Hernandez to remain in his squad, according to the claims, but the former Manchester United forward is down the pecking order behind Marko Arnautovic and Andy Carroll.
Gunes say Besiktas want to loan Hernandez for €2m, and they’re also keen to implement a right of redemption in the agreement.
