Fotomac claim Tottenham Hotspur are showing an interest in Besiktas midfielder Tolgay Arslan, and they could put in a bid for the 27 year old.
The Turkish newspaper say Tottenham scouts have been following Arslan this season, and they’ve been impressed with his performances.
Arslan has managed to displace club captain Oguzhan Ozyakup from Besiktas’ starting eleven in recent weeks and his displays in the Champions League have helped the Turkish champions to remain unbeaten in the competition. Fotomac report his performances have allegedly brought him to the attention of other clubs, including Tottenham.
It’s been claimed Tottenham would be looking to offer €10m for Arslan, but according to Fotomac this is €2m less than Besiktas’ valuation of the player.
Tottenham already have strength in the midfield department with the likes of Moussa Dembele, Harry Winks, Eric Dier, Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama.
Mauricio Pochettino isn’t in big need of someone in the position, and if the Tottenham boss was tempted to spend then it’d likely be on a younger player.
The 27 year old is contracted to Besiktas until 2022 and he’s played 15 times this season for the Turkish club.
