Brighton and Burnley have reportedly both made bids for Porto striker Moussa Marega.
According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo today, the Premier League clubs made late attempts to sign the 26-year-old, but were stopped by Porto, who don’t want him out.
O Jogo reports Burnley’s offer was €10m, whilst Brighton outbid them by showing they could pay €12m. But none of the amounts were accepted.
He’s been replacing Francisco Soares, who’s injured, in attack. But has also shown he can do a job on the wings if needed, so manager Sérgio Conceição won’t let him go so easily.
The Frenchman has a €40 release clause, so Porto are very well protected for now, and can set high demands in case Brighton or Burnley strike again.
