Diario del Alto Aragon have taken things a step further on Samu Saiz to Leeds United, and stepped ahead of some of their local SD Huesca media colleagues.
They claim the transfer of Saiz to Leeds United is ‘imminent’ and the deal, which the newspaper label historic, is expected to be done ‘between today and tomorrow’.
After that, Huesca are expected to go on their own spending spree, which suggests a reason for the Spanish club getting their skates on and trying to complete a deal soon.
Leeds United paying €3.5m for Saiz ‘pulverises’ all previous Huesca records, with the previous highest transfer at €600k.
Alexander Gonzalez has also been linked with Leeds United over the past 24 hours, but the Aragon newspaper doesn’t link the Championship club in their Thursday article. Instead it’s stated that Gonzalez knows his future is likely away from Huesca, and will probably move to a club outside of Spain.
Will Diairo del Alto Aragon be right? Let’s hope so, because this Leeds United saga has gone on too long.
