Swansea City and Real Betis have reportedly reached an agreement for the loan of Jordi Amat to the Spanish side.
According to Diário de Sevilla, the transfer is done and should be made official in the next few hours, as the player is already heading to his home country.
The outlet already calls the left-back the ‘new Betis player’, but there are no details on how much the La Liga club will have to spend to have him for a year.
The 25-year-old left Spain in 2013, when signed by Swansea from Espanyol for only €2.6m. However, he wasn’t being much used by the Premier League side. He only made 19 appearances last season, and has a total of 72 games in four years at the club.
With his contract expiring in 2019, we’d expect Swansea to sort out his situation when he’s back next season. Maybe a reasonable spell in Spain could favour a good sale.
