Completely unknown at the start of the season to most Premier League fans, the name Henry Onyekuru is now on the lips of a lot of them after the rumours about a possible move to England in the coming weeks.
With Arsenal and West Ham seemingly the only two left battling out for his signature, the 19-year-old knows his future lies somewhere other than Eupen.
Explaining many times that he had an agreement with his club that he could leave at the end of the season, the die-hard Gunners fan could very easily get his dream move to the Emirates in the summer.
However, speaking to So Foot, he did admit a move to West Ham or Arsenal might not be all that easy to pull off.
“But if a club is really interested, they will find a solution. They’ll spend more money if they have to! I’m also getting offers from Germany, Russia, Spain and Scotland. I don’t want to rush.”
Explaining some of his close relatives are still advising him to stay in Belgium a bit longer to continue to develop instead of playing under Arsène Wenger or Slaven Bilic, the player is listening to what everyone is saying before ‘making a decision on his own’.
He explained: “If I have to cock up in a big league, it’ll be my cock up. I don’t want it to be anyone else’s. I want to be the sole person in charge of my career”.
At least he’s honest.
