Coming off injured against Everton, Aston Villa’s Philippe Coutinho wasn’t part of the squad that travelled to and beat Burnley.
However, that doesn’t appear to have put off a club from being interested in him, which could turn into an offer relatively soon.
This is what Mundo Deportivo are reporting on Wednesday afternoon, as they claim Real Betis in Spain ‘will ask’ Aston Villa for the Brazilian’s loan.
Betis’ move for the Aston Villa player is expected to happen once the sale of Luis Felipe to Al-Ittihad goes through.
They ‘intend to acquire the services’ of Coutinho, but would rather it be on loan, which could be the sticking point, since the Premier League club would much rather sell him.
Coutinho ‘likes the idea’ of playing under Manuel Pellegrini at Betis, and would be equally happy to feature alongside the likes of Nabil Fékir and his compatriots Willian José, Abner and Luiz Henrique.
