Tottenham’s hopes of signing Ansu Fati from Barcelona appear to have been handed a major boost, with the player telling rival bidders Sevilla that he’s going to the Premier League club.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who say that despite his father’s wishes, the player will be moving to Tottenham this week.

The newspaper explains that Fati is ‘listening to offers’ to move away from the Camp Nou this summer and ‘has already chosen his destination’, which will be Tottenham.

They’ve been pursuing his signature over the last 24 hours and a report earlier today indicated they were at the front of the queue.

That appears to have come from the fact that Fati has decided to turn down Sevilla in favour of a move to the Premier League and all that remains for the deal to go through is that Tottenham strike an agreement with Barcelona.

The decision has been made by the player, despite his father having wished for him to head to Sevilla instead, so it is now up to Spurs to get things concluded as soon as possible.
