Signing of West Ham player ‘very complicated’ for club – Hammers’ ‘high demands’ putting club off

Real Betis’ potential move for West Ham United’s Pablo Fornals has been ‘cooled’ as the figures involved are too high for the Spanish side.

That’s according to El Desmarque, who say that, despite Manuel Pellegrini seeing a reunion with his former West Ham player ‘with good eyes’, a deal is unlikely.

They explain that Betis have held contacts with Fornals over the last few days as Betis continue their efforts to bolster their squad and replace Sergio Canales.

Pellegrini was open to the deal after working with Fornals at the London Stadium and the player has been on the sidelines waiting as Betis ‘valued his signing’.

However, it now seem ‘very complicated’ for the Spanish side to undertake as, according to El Desmarque’s information, the ‘starting figure is not acceptable’.

They have to take the delicate financial situation at the club into account and West Ham’s ‘high demands’ mean that they are now temporarily ruling out a move for Fornals. As a result, there have been no further contacts between the relevant parties.

Nothing is definitive at this moment in time, but the reality is that the ‘option has cooled’ for now. There is time for that to change but it seems unlikely, and Betis will instead look elsewhere.
