São Paulo apparently remain hopeful of signing Lucas Moura following his exit from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

For years, the attacker’s former club have been interested in bringing him back, despite his wish to stay in Europe.

Moura has now been a free agent since the departure from Tottenham, and according to UOL, São Paulo have made a new strategy for the signing.

It’s claimed that the Tricolor offered the player a contract until December. The negotiation is considered difficult, but they have ‘not given up yet’.

According to UOL, despite Moura’s intention to stay in Europe, he didn’t get good proposals in the continent. Now the former Tottenham player is analysing bids from the United States and Middle East.

São Paulo’s idea is to have him back for a small period, not worried if he’d agree with another club in this time, and then he could switch sides by January.

The Tricolor are on the verge of signing James Rodriguez, and coming up in full strength to win a big title this year, they hope Moura could help with that.
