Juventus ‘may accept’ a departure for Weston McKennie in January with Tottenham still interested in his signature.

That’s according to Il Bianconero, who cover how the American could be sacrificed to open the door for Rodrigo de Paul.

Yesterday we covered a report from Italy that made it clear Tottenham are back in the picture for McKennie, who they have targeted for the best part of 18 months.

Fabio Paratici is a big fan of the American and ‘once again’ has a plan to try and secure him from Juventus to bolster Tottenham’s midfield.

Il Bianconero follow that up today, explaining that Juventus have their eye on De Paul, who could be set to leave Atlético Madrid in the coming months.

To bring him in they would need to make room first and the one they’d sacrifice is McKennie.

He’s had ‘too few highs’ and while there is acceptance, he has quality; he shows too irregularly for the club to deem him unsellable.

They know that the Premier League, namely Tottenham, is ‘pushing’ for him and so would be willing to do a deal to open up space in the squad and budget for De Paul.

Spurs and Paratici are ‘strong on him’, with the idea growing he will end up in London come January.
