Fenerbahçe loanee Jeremain Lens has reportedly told his father to solve his problems with Sunderland, report Turkey’s Sabah.

Lens’ father Ricardo Lens will meet with Sunderland officials in the coming days to convince the Premier League side to sell his son to Fenerbahçe, or agree to a 1-year loan extension.

Lens has expressed his desire to stay at Fenerbahçe on a number occasions with the last one clearly not welcomed by Sunderland manager David Moyes.

The Sunderland boss said: “İt’s disgracefully disrespectful to the club which holds his registration. You would hate to think that anybody who was connected to a club would say that.”

Fenerbahçe have offered both Gregory van der Wiel and Emmanul Emenike to Sunderland in order to get Lens.

However, Sunderland rejected the offer because Moyes believes neither Emenike or Van der Wiel are good enough to play in the Premier League.

Lens has played 13 Turkish SuperLeague matches since joining from Sunderland on loan, scoring 3 goals and providing 8 assists.

Hull City have been repeatedly linked with the two Fenerbahçe players, with Marco Silva seemingly disagreeing with David Moyes.
