The Italian media continue to name Arsenal as a potential destination for Paulo Dybala this summer, with the Argentine’s contract expiring at the end of June.
After renewal talks failed between the parties involved, Juventus officially announced Dybala will be leaving them as a free agent this summer. There’s been some shock around the move, largely because the player has been with the Turin side since 2015 and is a symbol of the club.
All things come to an end, and a new destination needs to be found.
Initially, it had been thought Dybala was likelier to stay in Italian football, with Inter Milan repeatedly pushed forward. There were English links, of course, with the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur mentioned.
Once again it’s made clear Arsenal will need to qualify for the Champions League to seriously tempt Dybala.
