Moise Kean hasn’t been a success in his second spell at Juventus, where he arrived on loan from Everton in the summer.
The Turin club took the striker on a two year deal, and have a hefty purchase clause which is close to being a guarantee of around €40m for Everton, when the full value is taken into account.
The 22-year-old has scored five goals in 35 matches for Juventus this season, and hasn’t had the impact which was hoped for. After a good loan spell with PSG, there were big hopes in Italy that Kean could help fill the gap left by Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United.
Juve Dipendenza say Rennes ‘have moved’ for Kean, presumably still impressed with what he did at PSG. Obviously, the Ligue 1 side can’t afford to pay Juve enough to cover the Italian club’s transfer costs, and that’s where Rennes players could come in.
Serhou Guirassy is a temptation for Juventus, but even if all parties agreed on the general idea of a move involving the two players, it’s difficult to see how the costs of the operation could be managed.
Something for Everton to keep an eye on.
