Tottenham Hotspur have been endlessly linked with Serie A players since Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte arrived at the club.

The pair have bags of knowledge of the Italian market, and it’s already had an impact on Spurs’ transfer business. That’s expected to continue in the coming windows, and is why Tottenham have been thrown into the mix for a number of high profile signings ahead of the summer.

Paulo Dybala’s contract with Juventus expires at the end of June, and he’s set to leave the Turin club after talks over a renewal collapsed. Tottenham have been linked, but Antonio Conte has apparently shelved that idea in favour of signing someone else.

Tuttosport report, via Il Bianconero, that Conte has ‘decided to sink the blow’ and move for Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez instead. There’s no figures mentioned in the report, but it’s clear such a signing could be a record deal for Spurs.

That situation would see Inter then move for Dybala as a replacement, taking advantage of his free agent status.

Lautaro Martinez has scored 16 goals in 40 matches for Inter Milan this season.
