“I’ll listen to offers” – Brighton star discusses possible summer transfer, already at ‘very good club’

Brighton and Hove Albion star Leandro Trossard says he will ‘listen to the offers’ this summer should they come his way.

The Belgian forward has been a regular for the Seagulls since an £18m move from KRC Genk in 2019, with 14 goals and nine assists in 97 games so far.

While those are not the kind of numbers to write home about, he’s regularly been linked with a move to a bigger club regardless.

That’s something the player has regularly admitted he would be interested in, making it clear he would like to compete higher up the chain if he can do.

That move could be on offer this summer as his current contract with Brighton is set to expire in 2023.

That means he will either have to renew his deal with Graham Potter’s side this summer or be sold, with the Seagulls unlikely to be interested in letting his contract run down so he can leave on a free next year.

What happens remains to be seen, but the Brighton man admits he will look at offers if they are made for him.

“I’ve become physically stronger in the Premier League; I’ve put on a lot of muscle mass. Every season I’ve also gained experience,” he told Le Soir.

“I don’t really think about it. I am 27 years old, and I let everything happen. I’ll listen to the offers, but I don’t necessarily want to leave. Brighton is also a very good club.”
