As we’ve been covering in the past few days, Stoke City’s Bojan is one of the latest players to be linked with a move to Valencia in January.
But don’t expect that the arrival of a former Barcelona player to excite all the Valencia press.
Hernandez claims that Bojan has tried to play in many clubs and positions in the past few years, but never really succeeded in any of them.
Bojan’s spell at Stoke is said to be the only time he’s found a ‘similar’, but only similar, level to what he showed during his first years at Barcelona.
He also claims that one of the problems is the player is too similar to Barça’s Munir El Haddadi, who is on loan at Valencia until the end of the season.
The journalist finishes his article saying he asks himself what is Cesare Prandelli thinking, as he has no idea of why Valencia would sign Bojan. He doesn’t question the player’s talent, even though ‘it’s been asleep for a few years’.
Bojan has played for Roma, Milan, Ajax and Stoke since leaving Spain. He’s been at Stoke since 2014, with a record of 15 goals in 58 games for the Potters.
It would be a big ask for Bojan to be the answer to all of Valencia’s problems, but then it’d probably be a big ask for Cristiano Ronaldo too.
