Since Nahitan Nandez started being linked with a move away from Cagliari this summer, several reports from the Italian media made it clear that the player would like to leave the club as soon as possible.
There seemed to be a bad relationship with the Serie A side’s board, as they’re still to accept any offers for him, and that made the situation a lot more tense. Nandez failed to show up for a preseason trip to Spain, and the club heavily criticised him.
The race for his transfer changed a little since then, with the likes of Leeds United making a step back and letting other sides such as Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan take the lead.
And according to local claims today, Nandez seems to be once again fine with Cagliari, and that could make things a lot easier for a happy ending for all parties involved.
That’s considered to be the sign of a ‘truce’ between them. And that has nothing to do with a potential stay, because his transfer is still said to be ‘almost inevitable’.
There’s a feeling this new Nandez approach is to ease relations and show interested clubs his better side.
Tottenham are claimed to be the latest in a ‘long list of clubs’ who are interested in him, while Inter, who already have a personal agreement, are said to be ‘waiting without pushing’.
So that’s just another update which makes it more likely that Nandez will be able to make his move this summer. Earlier today, claims from the Italian media said he was ‘getting closer’ to Spurs, as he could move in a €25m deal.
