It seems that Spanish clubs are really keeping an eye on Jonathan Calleri’s situation at West Ham. After Valencia, it’s now Sevilla’s turn to be considering the signing, according to Estadio Deportivo.
Sevilla manager Jorge Sampaoli would have no difficulties to convince Calleri to join the Spanish side, but what would make things hard is Maldonado.
The Uruguayan club, which is used as an investment fund to sell players, has already loaned him to São Paulo and West Ham, so it’s still unknown if they’d accept to make another move like this.
As we revealed this month, Calleri never wanted a move to West Ham, and Spain was one of his first options. The player is now pushing for a move out of London, so this could be a great opportunity for him.
After playing for 413 minutes this season, the 23-year-old is still to score a goal for West Ham. His loan deal runs until next summer, and the Hammers have an option to buy.
