Liverpool’s interest in Rodrigo de Paul is now highlighted by the Italian media, where Tutto Udinese bring an update on the chase.
The outlet features a report claiming the Reds ‘continue’ to follow the midfielder and are ‘willing’ to make an effort, as Jurgen Klopp plans to ‘revolutionise’ his side’s midfield in the summer.
They point out, however, that it remains to be seen if the right offer will be made to Udinese. That’s because the Italian side are demanding at least €40m for the player.
Reports from the English media had already commented on Liverpool’s pursuit for De Paul this week, saying the Reds would offer around £30m for him.
On Wednesday, Tutto Mercato Web featured an interview with Watford director Cristiano Giareta, who used to work at Udinese and still has strong bonds with the club.
Quizzed about De Paul’s future, he said: “He feels like a leader, he’s a captain on and off the pitch and for me he is even among the strongest players in the world. We will see what will come in the summer: certainly in front of certain requests you cannot ignore it, but now there is concentration only on Udinese.”
