Sergio Reguilón was one of the players to arrive at Tottenham Hotspur last summer as Spurs took him from Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old has been the first choice left-back for José Mourinho, making 13 league appearance this season. He missed the last two league ties due to a muscle injury.
Tottenham paid around €30m the left-back, with the La Liga winners retaining an option to buy him back for a reported fee of €40m.
Having come through the ranks of Real Madrid, the Spain international admitted last November the possibility to return to Santiago Bernabéu exists.
He said: “Madrid is my home and where I have grown up and they have given me everything. The future is not known but that possibility exists.”

Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda is one of El Chiringuito’s panel members and he brings an update about the fullback. According to Inda, Reguilón has said ‘yes’ over returning to Real Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane currently has Ferland Mendy and Marcelo as the two left-backs available at his disposal. For Reguilón to return to his former club, Real Madrid will have to make room in their squad by offloading one of the former two.
Marcelo, 32, has a contract until 2022 and the Brazilian could be allowed to leave in the summer. If that happens, it would make sense for Mourinho’s man to leave the north London club and return to Real Madrid.
