Porto manager Sérgio Conceição has refused to comment on West Ham loanee Felipe Anderson’s situation at the club.

Anderson joined the Portuguese giants on loan at the end of the transfer window, having found himself out of favour under David Moyes at West Ham.

Things have not gotten off to a good start for him in Portugal, though, with the Brazilian managing two appearances and 49 minutes of action in total.

It’s not how he or his representatives imagined things going and this week saw comments from his sister, Juliana Gomes, also his agent, on the matter, with her claiming that the West Ham man has no issues at the club and wants to fight for his place.

She also claimed that she would be seeking talks with the club’s management to find out what is going on and why Anderson isn’t getting a chance.

That was something put to Conceição ahead of his side’s clash with Portimonense this weekend, and he basically refused to be drawn on the matter.

“Nobody spoke to me, now what they say to the board…” O Jogo report him saying.

“I am not going to ask the president what he said to Felipe Anderson’s sister. Why his sister says he needs a meeting I don’t know.

“If it’s about adapting Felipe, it’s me; I can talk, this is me. If the president wants to, he can talk to me about it, but it’s normal. There are some who adapt faster than others.”
