Another day, another Latin America personality claiming that Raúl Jiménez deserves a bigger club than Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This time it’s former Barcelona star Javier Saviola who had a chat with ESPN, and when speaking of the Mexican star, he claims he should have higher aspirations.

“There are a lot of things that make you go to one team or another, but Raúl has a very high level to be in a big team and that’s very clear, he’s a striker who goes through great seasons, who scores goals, who generates offensive play, he’s a very complete player who can certainly play in a big team and he can fit in well.

“It’s true that Raúl, when he was at Benfica, didn’t play regularly, but he did offer the team that goal quota and that sacrifice quota when he entered. We forwards know that our life is the goal and our life is trying to make the team benefit offensively. Raúl must focus on continuing to have good seasons at his club and surely the opportunity will come to him at a more important club.”

The former Argentina international also said he’d have liked to have had Raúl Jiménez as a teammate.

“Raúl Jiménez is a player that I like very much; if I still played I’d love to play with him right now. He’s a player who is doing very well with his head, he’s always close to the goal. I love strikers like Raúl who are complete forwards and not just opportunistic forwards; I like that you can also play with them and we can build a wall and be important to the team.”

“Raúl is a forward who still has a lot to give and I think the best that can happen is that he has good seasons so that the Mexican team benefits because in these cases it’s the most important thing.”

This is not the first time we see people telling the Mexican media that Raúl Jiménez deserves to play for a bigger club, and it won’t be the lest. The Wolves striker is currently the national team’s biggest star, so it’s natural they’re hoping for him to achieve big titles in European football.

This week, when Paul Ince said Manchester United should have signed Raúl Jiménez instead of Edinson Cavani, his quotes were heavily covered in Latin America, with outlets once again pointing out how well rated the Mexican star is in Europe.
