Following reports from the English media saying Danny Loader could be moving to Porto this summer, the Portuguese press manages to confirm this information today.

With the end of the 19-year-old’s contract at Reading, the striker is now a free agent and should soon be announcing his new club.

Newspaper O Jogo says the player could indeed be joining the Dragons, but that doesn’t mean he’ll get a chance in the first team so soon.

They write there’s a ‘strong possibility’ that Loader could arrive to Porto’s B squad, as he could sign a three-year deal with the Portuguese champions.

Loader is a product of Reading’s academy, and made 35 appearances for the club’s first team this season, with two goals and two assists.

O Jogo highlights the claims from the English press which say the Royals even tried to keep the player, but failed to match his financial demands due to the impact of the Coronavirus crisis.
