Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has told the Swedish media he thought about hitting the sporting director of Torino during the summer. The 25-year-old joined Leeds United in the summer, but he left the Serie A side not on the best terms.

Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Jansson said he held a meeting with the Torino sporting director during the summer transfer window to discuss his future at the club. The Sweden international revealed he wanted to put his case forward that he was worthy of a place in the starting eleven. However, Jansson said even though he got along with him he became frustrated, and thought about hitting him.

“Then we sat face to face, myself and the sporting director. I know he likes me, he always has done and he still does. We sat down and I wanted to defend myself, but I was just so pissed off… it’s almost like I wanted to beat him,” said the Leeds United star.

Jansson joined Leeds United on loan in the last window, and since arriving in England has gone on record to reveal his relationship with Torino coach Sinisa Mihajlovic. The central defender thougth he would be guaranteed a place in Mihajlovic’s team when Kamil Glik joined AS Monaco in the summer, but the Serbian had his doubts over Jansson’s fitness.
