Allan to Everton is now covered almost daily in the Italian sport media.
Sunday is no exception, with the Naples edition of Il Mattino having an opinion on the current situation.
First things first, it’s outlined that Carlo Ancelotti is ‘pushing’ to sign the player for Everton. He wants the midfielder to arrive on the blue half of Liverpool and be an important player for the club next season.
This has already been established and is treated as fact in Italy, that’s been the case for some time. What has changed is that now it’s accepted a transfer to Everton wouldn’t be such a surprise.
Il Mattino bring something new to the table today. They claim Allan and his agents will sit down with Napoli at the end of the season and decided between a renewal and a transfer.
That’s the first time a renewal has been mentioned in a while, although it’s not presented as being particularly likely.
During January and last summer, the asking price for Allan was put at €60m, sometimes even €80m, and last week it was reported to be €40m.
Il Mattino back that up and suggest it could even be lower, stating, from Napoli’s perspective, that negotiations would start at €40m.
