Arsenal player gives ‘OK’ for transfer to another club – Not reasonable for Gunners to allow star to leave

On January 21st, we carried a report from Mundo Deportivo, who explained Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the preferred choice for Barcelona.

A day later, Sport reported the Gunners have said ‘no’ to sanctioning the Gabon international’s transfer in the winter market.

Despite that, the 30-year-old is still being mentioned in today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo.

The report states it’s not suitable for the north London club to allow their star to leave in January due to their poor results this season. However, the former Borussia Dortmund man is seriously considering his departure due to the interest.

Aubameyang’s contract at Arsenal expires in 2021 and the Spanish champions are aware of the ‘sporting and contractual situation’ of the player.  It’s claimed Barca say they have the ‘OK’ from the player to try to hire him.

Mundo adds even though Arsenal have said ‘no’ to the attacker’s sale, the player’s position is key.

Aubameyang is Arsenal’s captain and, therefore, he doesn’t want to force his way out.

If he does, Mundo believes it’ll be a problem for the Premier League side (which is obvious).
