Arsenal star Laurent Koscielny scored a stoppage time goal against Burnley to help his team win three crucial points. The 31-year-old is now preparing for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Netherlands.
Koscielny insists Tottenham skipper Hugo Lloris is the right man for the job, both on and off the pitch, and that he is a leader only on the pitch.
He said: “No, the armband is fine with Hugo (Lloris). He is the right man and leader on and off the pitch. It’s very good like that.
“I’m here to help the team and get the best results. I’m not a player like Patrice Evra, who is much easier to speak in the group, to motivate everyone. This is my example and I’m a leader for what I do on the pitch.”
Koscielny has been in fine form in the last few months, and played a key role in helping France reach the finals of the Euros, and Arsenal’s impressive start to the season.
