Hannover 96 want to sign a central defender, and Norwich City’s Timm Klose has been high on their list.
Horst Heldt, their sporting director, has been identifying targets and then seeing how hard it will be to get a deal done. For Klose, the answer has been that a transfer will be difficult.
The Championship club simply aren’t prepared to go with the flow and build a transfer the way Hannover want it to be, and it seems to have surprised Heldt somewhat.
Germany’s Nueue Presse report that whilst the Klose to Hannover transfer ‘has not burst yet’, things aren’t looking good for a completion before Friday’s deadline.
Norwich are said to be demanding €3m for the 30 year old defender, and that’s a figure Hannover believe is too high.
Neue Presse say that Klose had been first choice but Norwich’s asking price means there’s ‘little chance’, unless the English club are prepared to come down from the €3m figure.Sunderland’s Papy Djilobodji is an alternative.
