The Portuguese press brings several stories about Porto’s chase for the Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham today. Most of them saying that the Dragons will not be able to sign the player in time.

Let’s start with the optimistic one, which comes from Record. They claim that even though the negotiations have been tough, the Portuguese side have been keeping an emissary in Scotland to continue negotiating.

But the other newspapers don’t believe in a positive result. A Bola, for example, claims that Celtic are about to offer Ntcham a new contract to block Porto’s attempts.

The newspaper says that the Bhoys continue to stand still in the negotiations, and that’s why the Dragons continue having a hard time to get him. They say the player is ‘an interesting target, but very expensive’.

And O Jogo, which is a local Porto newspaper, is the one who really doesn’t believe the transfer is happening.

They say that despite some rumours from yesterday saying the Dragons had increased their offer from €14m to €16m, it actually didn’t happen, and Ntcham is not making the move from Celtic this summer.
