Last week, news broke that Wolverhampton Wanderers were interested in signing Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko, offering €18m to the Citizens to secure his services.
His move to the Molineux Stadium did not go through because the Ukranian international turned down the opportunity to join Nuno Espírito Santo’s side.
However, he could face yet another decision before the end of the summer, as Mundo Deportivo report the 21-year-old is attracting interest from the La Liga, with Real Betis believed to have already opened talks to take him in on loan.
The opportunity of regular football looks difficult for him at the Etihad, and his employer has already opened the door to play for another team in order to get more minutes. Betis’ offer is on the table and the report claims it is now up to the player to make a decision.
Zinchenko is a versatile player, who can play in the defence as well as an attacking midfielder. After Benjamin Mendy’s serious injury, the former PSV man was behind Fabian Delph in Pep Guardiola’s pecking order for the left-back position last season.
