Everton are lining up a bid for Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini, according to claims in the Italian media. The Italy international has been linked with a move to England in the past six months following attempts by Newcastle United to sign the player in January.
Everton are hoping to bolster their attacking options before the transfer deadline, but a deal will be difficult. Due to Gabbiadini’s pre-season form, and the fact Gonzalo Higuain recently signed for Juventus, Napoli will be keen to keep hold of the striker.
During the last transfer window, we covered claims that Newcastle United had put in offer of €17m for Gabbiadini , but again this was instantly turned down by Napoli.
At the time Gabbiadini was struggling to get games because of the form of Gonzalo Higuain, and Newcastle United were hoping to take advantage of his situation.
