Fotomac report Galatasaray have turned down an offer from Watford for their Uruguayan goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.
The Turkish giants recently received a huge fine from UEFA due to their failure to comply with FFP rules and it’s suggested Watford are looking to take advantage of the situation by making an offer for the player.
According to Fotomac, Galatasaray turned down an approach from Watford and stated the 32 year old is not for sale.
Muslera is seen as legend by many Galatasaray fans and the Uruguay international is set to play his 8th season for the Turkish club.
The veteran is contracted to the Turkish giants until June 2021 and Fotomac say Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim has told the board not to sell the player.
Despite Watford currently having Heurelho Gomes, Costel Pantilimon and Pontus Dahlberg at their disposal they’ve recently been linked with other goalkeeper signings.
This week the Portuguese press linked Benfica’s Bruno Varela to Watford, and at 23 years of age he’s at the other end of the spectrum to Muslera.
