Arsenal and Tottenham are both ‘interested’ in a move for VfB Stuttgart defender Borna Sosa after Chelsea made an attempt to sign him in January.

That’s according to BILD journalist Christian Falk, who says the London duo are eyeing a move in the summer transfer window.

Sosa has been impressing for Stuttgart this season, with five assists and two goals to his name in 20 games in all competitions so far.

Those numbers have helped add to his growing reputation, which was bolstered by his tally of ten assists in 26 games in the Bundesliga last season.

Chelsea are known to have been admirers for some time, and several reports in January linked them with a move as they sought out a replacement for the stricken Ben Chilwell.

Their interest is unlikely to have gone away, but it seems Chelsea now face competition from their London rivals, with Falk stating that Arsenal and Tottenham are also keen on a move in the summer.

He makes no mention of whether there have been contacts or anything of that nature, just that both are looking at the 24-year-old.

A move for either club would make little sense, with Tottenham already boasting Sergio Reguilon in the left-back position and Arsenal having Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares.

Unless those players are leaving in the summer, then a move for Sosa would be strange at this point.

It is because of that and the fact Falk has spent much of today churning out numerous rumours about the Premier League that we’ll take this one with a pinch of salt for the time being.
