Juventus have informed Leicester City of their desire to sign Timothy Castagne in the summer window, according to today’s Tuttosport.

It’s said the Turin club have ‘blocked’ the 27-year-old but haven’t received encouragement from Leicester for a loan deal with an option/obligation to buy. The Foxes value the former Atalanta man around €15m.

Even though Juventus have ‘blocked’ the Belgian defender, the report states they will have to ‘carry out various evaluations’ before making an approach.

Juve’s Andrea Cambiaso was on loan at Bologna last season and Massimiliano Allegri needs to decide whether or not to include him in his plans. Should he be left out, Castagne could be an option for the Old Lady.

Castagne isn’t the only Leicester player wanted in Italy. Another report from Tuttosport states Torino are keen to bring Dennis Praet back to the club in this window.

Atalanta’s demands have made it difficult for Torino to make Aleksei Miranchuk’s loan deal permanent and the situation has forced the latter to look elsewhere.

It’s claimed ‘one of the hottest names’ is that of the 29-year-old midfielder, who is an ‘old favourite’ of Torino technical director Davide Vagnati. Tuttosport also state Torino manager Ivan Jurić would gladly welcome Praet back to the club.

A year after failing to convince Leicester to let go of him, the situation is different now as the player has a year left on his deal and the Foxes have been relegated from the top flight.

Therefore, Vagnati is ‘trying to snatch an agreement as convenient as possible’, for around €4m. Leicester, on the other hand, are hoping to collect a higher figure.

To sum it up, both Juve and Torino want to take advantage of Leicester’s relegation to sign Castagne and Praet respectively on favourable terms.
