Nottingham Forest’s latest signing Nikola Milenković has insisted he is ready for life in the Premier League and can’t wait to get started.
The defender has been speaking to Tuttomercatoweb after making a surprise appearance at Fiorentina’s clash with Hull City this week.
The centre-back joined Nottingham Forest earlier this month in a €14.3m deal as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side build for a season that will hopefully see them well away from any more relegation troubles.
That brought an end to a seven year stay with Fiorentina, who he joined in 2017 in a €5.5m deal from Partizan.
He made 264 appearances for the Italian side in his time there, establishing himself as a key player and firm fan favourite over his years there.
That means there are still bonds that are yet to be severed and so he was more than happy to make a surprise appearance as they took on Hull City in a pre-season friendly this week.
That provided a chance to get in some questions, and he couldn’t wait to talk about Nottingham Forest and his excitement for that transfer.
“A great challenge and a great championship,” he said when asked about the move.
“It won’t be easy but I’m ready. In Florence I left a fantastic group of extraordinary men: I hope with all my heart that they can do something big.”
