With the World Cup proving to be a great showcase for Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, it seems Liverpool are working to get to that signing first.
A story from Foot Mercato today explains the scenario involving the player, as there’s big interest from Premier League clubs in landing him from Fiorentina.
It’s really Liverpool who are said to be leading this race, as it’s claimed Amrabat’s entourage ‘already met’ with Reds’ boss Jurgen Klopp.
The manager is said to be willing to strengthen their midfield in January, and already have new talks with the player’s staff scheduled for after the World Cup.
Liverpool just must be aware that many other sides, including Tottenham and Inter Milan, are also keeping an eye on Amrabat.
Foot Mercato doesn’t even mention a price for the player, but it’s only going up during the World Cup.
They point out that in case he does well against Portugal in the quarter-finals, the numbers would ‘continue to climb much to the delight of Fiorentina’.
