It’s now West Ham United who are named as contenders to sign Manuel Locatelli from Juventus.

Website CalcioMercato.it today writes that as the midfielder excels for the Old Lady, there are ‘Premier League sirens’ for him.

Since West Ham could lose Tomas Soucek at the end of the season, something the Italian media won’t shut up about, the report says we should ‘watch out’ for the Hammers, who could go for Lucatelli as the ‘ideal successor’.

Juventus reportedly set a price for the Italian’s departure, and that’s at least €40m.

Now if Locatelli would accept leaving the Old Lady for West Ham is a whole different story, as the interest from the Hammers may not be enough.

With the midfielder also linked to Brighton, this week his agent made clear that a move to the Seagulls was never in consideration during the summer, as the player always wanted to stay at Juventus.

The agent made clear that stance hasn’t changed since, and Locatelli is happy at Juventus.

That may be a sign for West Ham that very convincing arguments would be needed to attract Locatelli to the club, besides affording the €40m requested by the Serie A giants.
