In need of strengthening their attacking division next season, Bayern Munich have identified Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane as a priority target.
Reports on Tuesday said the Bavarian club made a €70m bid for the striker which was turned down by Spurs. This is echoed by Sky Deutschland, who then give more updates on this case.
It’s said the 29-year-old has held talks with Bayern a few days ago and ‘already said yes’ to join them which was also reported by Bild journalist Christian Falk yesterday. Bayern now need to agree a deal with Tottenham to conclude the transfer.
The England international has a year left on his deal and if he decides to move abroad, he ‘wants to join’ the Bundesliga winners.
Sky state Bayern’s efforts to sign Kane enter into the ‘next round’ as they are ‘preparing a new written offer’. The details of the offer they are planning to make isn’t mentioned.
On Tuesday, Bild reported Tottenham want at least €100m for the player but Bayern are hoping to secure his services for a fee below that amount.
In the event a deal for Kane doesn’t materialise, Bayern have identified Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani as backup targets.
