Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are among the clubs chasing Ajax’s Devyne Rensch.
That’s according to Monday’s edition of Sport, who cover Tottenham and Liverpool when discussing Barcelona’s interest in the right-back.
Rensch is in his final year of contract but that hasn’t impacted his game time this season and he’s made 17 appearances in all competitions.
A Barca scout has been following the 21-year-old, but the La Liga side haven’t yet made a final decision on the possibility of signing him.
The Netherlands U21 international graduated from the Eredivisie side’s youth system and his profile and qualities fit into what the Catalan club are looking for.
Hansi Flick’s side showed interest in UD Almería’s Marc Pubill last summer but couldn’t secure his services due to their financial situation. The newspaper states he continues to be on their list, along with the Ajax player.
Barcelona could face competition as Premier League sides have asked about signing the Dutchman. This is when Spurs and Arne Slot’s side are mentioned as Sport state these two clubs ‘studying hiring’ Rensch.
Ajax, for their part, want to retain Rensch and have presented a new contract offer.
Tottenham and Liverpool have Pedro Porro and Trent Alexander-Arnold respectively as their first choice right-backs and both are being linked to Real Madrid.
