Bayern Munich’s priority right now is signing Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, and they’ve been working on that deal for over a month.
Monday morning saw the German media reporting a Bayern delegation is travelling to England to try and agree a deal with Spurs, knowing they’ll need to be respectful of Daniel Levy to do so.
Kane isn’t the only Premier League player who Bayern are treading carefully to sign. Bild report the Bundesliga champions are still very interested in Manchester City’s Kyle Walker.
The player is also thought to be keen, but the big barrier is agreeing a deal with Pep Guardiola’s side. Manchester City want to keep Walker and have been trying to convince him to forget about the approach from Munich.
Despite reports from elsewhere in Germany sounding more confident, Bild say that according to their own information, ‘there’s simply been no movement’ over the past week or so.
Negotiations with Manchester City haven’t had any advance, and the Premier League champions still want to keep Walker and extend his contract.
Bayern may decide to travel up for face-to-face negations whilst they’re in England for Kane talks.
