Over the past few weeks, Tottenham have have been linked with a move for Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi.

There’s been talk that the Italian is on Spurs’ shortlist, if Ange Postecoglou departs in the summer. The Italian press has also spoken of Saudi clubs being interested in luring the manager to the Middle East.

Inter journalist Fabrizio Biasin has now spoken about Inzaghi’s future at the San Siro and he’s also mentioned Tottenham interest in the manager.

Biasin said that whilst Spurs are interested, things could be dictated by the 49-year-old’s showdown talks with the Nerazzurri.

He told Canale 5, via L’Interista: At the moment he has no agreement with any club. Many suitors, not only Saudi Arabia, clubs also in Europe.”

“Names? Among others, there is also Tottenham.”

Speaking further about how Inzaghi’s future can pan out, Biasin said: “After the Champions League final, he will meet with Inter to find an agreement to continue together. To talk about normal things like contract, market and so on. If they find an agreement, we will move forward together. My feeling is that he will remain the coach of Inter.”

Things don’t appear to be falling in Tottenham’s favour when it comes to Inzaghi. On top of that, should he win the Champions League then Inter will surely do everything they can to keep him.

Inzaghi wouldn’t be Spurs’ only target if they sack Postecoglou. A decision about the Australian is yet to be made and Tottenham need to do that as quickly as possible for the benefit of all involved.
