Bold provide the latest on the Welsh club’s efforts to complete a move for the midfielder in the winter market.
On Wednesday, AaB informed the stock exchange that they have ‘reached an agreement’ with a foreign club.

They’ve now been successful in securing an agreement with AaB, likely with a higher offer. There’s no mention of the details of their earlier proposal or the bid accepted by AaB.
There was an eagerness to bring him to the Swansea.com Stadium immediately, while AaB are keen on having him back on loan until the end of this season. Swansea City finally gave in to their request and Widell will arrive at the club in the summer.
Swansea City were so determined to find an agreement for Widell that they ‘didn’t dare to gamble’ in the negotiations due to the fear of losing him to another club.
