Clément Lenglet has returned to Barcelona after a loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur but has no future at the Camp Nou.
Three days ago, Mundo Deportivo reported that everything suggested the defender would join Spurs, before Al-Nassr presented an offer to sign him. A day later, it was explained that he isn’t keen a move to Saudi Arabia and would much prefer Tottenham.
The latest claims have talked about AC Milan interest, but this option has been ruled out by Calciomercato.
It’s claimed the Serie A side had carried out polls for the centre-back but there’s a ‘little chance’ of him arriving at the club because the cost of the operation is deemed too high for Milan. This could come as encouragement for Tottenham.
They also state the 28-year-old has refused to move to Saudi Arabia in order to continue in Europe where Ange Postecoglou’s side remain an option for the former Sevilla man.
Sport journalist Marta Fernandez appeared as a guest on Calciomercato.it’s TV Play to talk about Milan’s interest in Lenglet. She claims the Frenchman “prefers Tottenham” despite Milan’s interest.
“We have received this news from Milan but the player wants to return to Tottenham, he has a high salary and the request is €15m,” Fernandez said.
