Yesterday, we covered a claim from Corriere dello Sport about West Ham dropping their interest in Toulouse defender Logan Costa, who seemed to be edging closer to Bologna.
As we explained, there was a chance the Premier League club was being used to put pressure on Bologna to increase their offer for Costa, something which happens quite frequently in the European transfer market.
Today, Il Resto del Carlino, as relayed by TuttoBolognaWeb, makes a rather curious claim.
They state that Costa is ‘waiting’ to understand whether West Ham are serious about signing him or not, as Bologna look to define the final details of their move.
It would appear he’s heard the West Ham rumours and is now thinking he has the chance of a Premier League move. That he isn’t aware personally whether Hammers interest is genuine or not would suggest it isn’t, so he may be set for transfer disappointment.
The Ligue 1 side want €15m to sell the player and Bologna are approaching that fee.
